Hasle Harbor is a masterplan for a previously active fishing and commercial port. Today the fishing industry is not very active anymore and therefore the large harbor area needed a transformation.
With this project a canal is established a long the original coastline which then cuts loose a large island. The Island is programmed with a new beach, bathing bridges, small huts, a cafe and a large green area so the island becomes a recreational destination. Where the recreational Island is attached to the city, is the new harbor square placed as a new central meeting point for tourists and inhabitants.
Along the coastline is made a promenade connecting the famous fish smokehouses south of Hasle to the marina in the North.
Along the promenade different activities and atmosphere are created, like 'urban' canal with kayaking, original fishing harbor with old fishing boats, new activity harbor with water sports and cultural elements as well as a spa and a marina in the end.
