The future of the planet is nature, and planning a new city needs a fundamental change from having a negative impact on nature towards a human-nature symbiosis.

Naturapolis is our proposal for a new Ukranian city totally based on the principles of nature. This is the case for both infrastructural solutions, the relationship between the built environment and the wild nature surrounding it – and infiltrating it.

Nature, build structures and humans living here support each other and only by incorporating solutions for both the built environment, nature and human beings can we achieve an absolute sustainable future way of living.

The principle strategies for this project developed by URBAN POWER, are centered around 4 topics: NATURE / DEMOCRACY / MOBILITY / LIVEABILITY. All 4 topics are working together in order to form an exemplary new settlement, which will become a leading star for cities from all over the world.

Integrating and preserving the existing unique vegetation, landscape and water bodies of the territory is the key in creating a future sustainable and healthy city for all inhabitants.

By enhancing the water as an all-present-element in every part we create a whole City with 9 distinct districts and 42 neighbourhoods connected via various infrastructure solutions.

All though visually divided by the water and green wedges the neighbourhoods of Naturapolis are connected and organized based upon The-15-Minute-City concept, with programming and mobility across several levels;

From the neighbourhood’s main street to the Campus District to the city’s global EXPO area, all linked via one main mobility corridor.

Naturapolis will become the sustainable city of the future for 300.000 inhabitants, developed and planned in the ideal symbiosis with nature and wildlife.
