Funding for Grænselandets have
2025 JULY 4 | The “Grænselandets Have” project in Padborg has secured funding for its realization between 2025 and 2027.
The project focuses on the connection between nature, history, tourism, and local community development – right by the the Danish-German border. It features a new park surrounding the Customs and Border Museum in Padborg, serving as a key starting and ending point for the “Hærvejen” hiking and cycling routes. Additionally, the Gendarmstien (The Gendarm Path) will be marked with a land-art installation, commemorating the 138 border guards who were deported during World War II.
The project, which we won in an invited competition just over a year ago, has received 5.4 million DKK in support from the Nordea-fonden and a 5.6 million DKK grant from Aabenraa Municipality.
