Taastrup Station Square
2026 April 22 | URBAN POWER has won the assignment to design the new Station Square in Taastrup.
It’s currently dominated by parking, worn asphalt, and a lack of spaces to stay and gather. The connection between the northern and southern parts of the town goes through a long, dark tunnel, and large parts of the station shopping centre currently sit vacant.
With the new Selsmose District, the Cultural Axis, and the future transformation of the centre into housing and retail, there is a lot to look forward to. Taastrup Station Square is the missing piece that will tie it all together.
In collaboration with Høje-Taastrup Municipality, we have organized a thorough community engagement process, bringing local residents and stakeholders on board. This ensures the best foundation for creating a square that commuters, neighbours, and visitors alike will benefit from in the future.
Joining us on the team are LINQ Trafikrådgivning, experts from WSP Danmark, and Franziska Holmsted from ZENISK.
We are really looking forward to getting started and to sharing more about the process.
