URBAN POWER was involved in the whole process of the development of the Vridløselille prison area as a client advisor, from the strategy concept and preliminary studies to supporting the execution of the masterplan competition.

The strategy encompasses the preservation of the site´s identity while enhancing the qualities of the area. A large number of the existing buildings are kept and, together with the streets layout, form the basis for the future building structure.

New green corridors and visual connections contribute to opening up the site and relate to the surroundings, emphasizing its attractiveness and its closeness to the center of Albertslund.
