Stejlepladsen Phase 1 ready this June
2026 March 25 | The masterplan for Stejlepladsen is now clearly visible as the neighborhood opens its doors to the first residents this June.
The area is defined by a diverse urban scale and predominantly car-free streets, creating space for intimate urban environments, green courtyards, and over 800 new trees. Sustainability and social diversity are at the heart of the project, featuring façades made from recycled materials and a mix of owner-occupied, rental, and social housing. This vibrant community offers everything from terraced houses and apartments to duplexes, catering to families, students, and co-living communities alike.
In 2019, we won the competition for Stejlepladsen alongside our valued colleagues at CCO architects, Kragh & Berglund, Urban Creators, and Artelia. In 2020, we began the process of refining the master plan to bring our original visions to life within the binding master plan approved by the Copenhagen City Council. Groundbreaking took place in 2024.
